Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park is located about 40 miles from Puerto Varas, accessed only by boat across the Lago Todos los Santos. This national park covers about 977 square miles and is almost entirely in the Andes mountains. The outlet of the lake flows into the Petrohué River, then downstream through the Petrohue Waterfalls. The park also contains the eastern slope of the Osorno Volcano, as well as the Puntiagudo Volcano and the western slopes of the Tronador Volcano, with a maximum altitude of 11,453 feet.
